Robin

Robin has been the executive director of Bis-Man Transit since 1990 and The CAT since it started in 2004.  She enjoys working with customers and staff and being able to put together the services that riders need and she finds it fulfilling to see how the entire system was created and has grown to where it is today.  Robin has lived in Bismarck all her life and has completed her education at Bismarck State College, University of Mary, and University of North Dakota.  In her spare time, she likes to travel, read, play bingo, and spend time with family and friends.

Debbie

Misty

Misty was hired into the newly created marketing director position in March 2009 to promote Bis-Man Transit and The CAT. She graduated in 2007 from University of Mary and loves learning about new marketing tactics and technology.  In her spare time, she works part time at Riddles Jewelry. She also takes part in Young Professionals and Toastmasters.

Al

Al has been with Bis-Man Transit since 1990 and is currently manager for Bis-Man Transit and The CAT. His favorite part about his job is the diversity of each day and the new challenges each one brings. Al grew up in Bismarck and likes living here because of the friendly and genuine community members.

Dale

Dale has been with The CAT since 2004 and is currently the street supervisor and new driver trainer, along with being a driver himself. He enjoys the people he works with and for and likes meeting and visiting with all the good people who ride the CAT. Dale has lived in Bismarck since 1983 and has two little puppies in his household. In his spare time, he likes to golf and watch sports.

Michael

Michael has been a driver with The CAT since 2005 and has several reasons for why he enjoys his job. He says “We have a great bunch of drivers who all work together and get along great. Everyone is willing to help each other and management is the best I’ve ever worked with.” Michael is a retired over the road truck driver who has lived in Bismarck since 1992.

Don R.

Don has been driving The CAT since 2004. Don enjoys driving for a number of reasons including meeting new people and the excellent cooperation among drivers and management. He is a U.S. Naval Air Veteran and his main hobby is flying. He has an associate degree in Electronics and is retired from Basin electric Coop. “I like driving as it keeps me active and alert.”

Connie

Connie has been with The CAT bus since 2004 and has been enjoying the hours she works and the co-workers she’s come to know. Connie is a former bus driver who has lived in Bismarck all of her life except for 5 ½ years spent on the East Coast. Her hobbies include needlework and crafts.

Wilbur

Wilbur has been a CAT driver since 2005. He loves meeting new and interesting people and the relationship with the drivers and management. “We have a good team.” Before driving for The CAT Wilbur was a diesel mechanic for 12 years. His hobbies are fishing, hunting and tinkering with autos. He was also a part of the U.S. Navy for 4 years and to relax, he plays the guitar and accordion.

Vernon

Vernon has been driving the CAT since 2008. He likes meeting new people and working with his co-workers.

Greg

Greg has been driving The CAT since 2005. He enjoys meeting new people and the challenge of driving in all types of weather. Before he drove The CAT he farmed and ranched for 40 years. His hobbies are hunting and riding his motorcycle.

Tom

Tom has been a CAT bus driver since 2006. His favorite part of the job is driving and being around people. Tom has lived in Bismarck for 36 years and has been retired from the Bismarck Fire Department since 2000. He has also been a freelance photographer for 15 years. Some of his hobbies are being a ham radio operator, fishing, camping and shooting.

Chuck

Chuck has been driving with The CAT since 2007. His favorite part of the job is the other drivers, management and the passengers that he gets to know. “They are all great to work with.” He moved to Bismarck in 1987 and is a graduate of NDSU. He retired after 30 years of banking. Some of his hobbies are hunting, fishing and woodworking.

Douglas

Douglas has been driving The CAT since 2005. He says his favorite part about driving is meeting the people who ride the bus. Before he drove The CAT, Douglas owned and operated a food business for 18 years. His hobbies include golf, wood working, cooking on the grill and genealogy.

Dan

Dan started driving the bus in 2008. His favorite part of the job is the customers. “Each day I meet someone new and everyone is unique and interesting. I also feel I am providing a much needed service to my passengers.” Dan is married with triplet sons, one daughter, one dog, two cats and one bunny. He moved here with his wife in June of 2008. His hobbies include yard work and camping. He is also very active with the Boy Scouts.

Dixon

Dixon has been driving The CAT since 2007. A few of his favorite things about this job are his fellow workers (administration and drivers) and meeting so many “nice, hard-working people.” He also LOVES to drive. He has lived in Bismarck for 35 years 30 if which he spent teaching and coaching in the Bismarck Public School System. He’s married with 5 kids and 8 grandkids, is a Chicago Cubs Fan and is a poor golfer. His hobby is announcing wrestling tournaments. Dixon will be traveling south for the winter, but will return to ND and The CAT in April 2010!

Patrick

Patrick has been driving The CAT since 2009 and his favorite part of the job is associating with people. He lives on a little hobby farm on the outskirts of Bismarck. His interests are horses and spending time with his children and grand children.

Jim

Jim has been a CAT driver since 2004 and had previous experience as a school bus driver. He enjoys people so he feels this is a great job for him. Before joining The CAT, Jim worked for an over the road trucking company, the US Postal Service, and their family farm. He also served in the United States Air Force for four years.

Ron

Ron has been a CAT driver since 2010 and he was a Transit driver since 2008. His favorite part of the job is that everyone works together to “get the job done.” Before driving he was an insurance agent and an investment broker. Ron likes to play golf, volleyball, basketball, and racquetball and also likes the competition of playing cards including bridge, pinochle, and whist.
